The Two Loose Screws artistic group is a brand-new sketch / improv troupe based in NYC. We also sometimes produce short comedic videos for the web. We seek comedic actors and sketch writers, for live performances and future comedy video projects. Talent can be either gender, any ethnicity, in the 16-50 age range. We will be working democratically, with the troupe sharing rehearsal expenses and splitting profits from tickets sold to our live shows.

We are influenced mainly by Monty Python, SNL, and the UCB; keep in mind that while we may veer towards the risque at times, we avoid being overtly crude or vulgar in our approach to comedy. To see our previously produced comedy videos, go to www.funnyordie.com, and look up "Caveman Comedian", "A Mile in My Shoes", and "To Catch a Comedian", all by Two Loose Screws Video Productions.

The producer/founder of Two Loose Screws is Wylie Reed Richardson, a caucasian actor-writer-producer in his early 40s. His background includes everything from Off-Broadway and Off-Off-B'way theatre to the recent feature film "Get Him to the Greek". He has been involved in comedy and improv since the early 90s.

Non-traditional-looking Male Dancers Needed for Music Video (New York City)

Casting for a new video that will encompass dance, music and performance art. Shot on location in New York City.

The video will feature one lead male dancer and 4-5 back-up dancers. The point of the video is to illustrate that not all dancers need to be tiny and skinny; therefore, we are looking for non-traditional-looking male dancers - aka males who are large in size, but can still move well.

While previous experience is great, it's not necessary. The most important qualifications are that you match the physical description, and are able to learn basic choreography. You must also be available for a handful of rehearsals, and then for the video shooting itself. The completed video will be featured on YouTube and on numerous websites and blogs. It will also be part of a presentation.

If interested, please forward a brief statement of interest, a photo, and a resume (if applicable), to russjosephs@gmail.com.

CASTING FOR Emerson College student film production called Talk To Me.

My name is Daniel Park, a producer for an Emerson College student film production called Talk To Me.
We're shooting from August 25th to the 30th on location in Long Island, NY, as well as Queens, NY.
Naturally, we're seeking talent from that area, and we want to have auditions in that area over the course of May.
We don't yet have a specific location or a time frame, but that information will be figured out by the end of this weekend.
Actors will be financially compensated for their work.

Here is a short synopsis as well as character breakdowns.

Talk To Me is the story of Larry Grossman, a brilliant and successful NYPD Hostage Negotiator. While he finds a lot of success professionally as a communicator, communication is something that doesn't come as easy to him when family is involved. So after a negotiation goes awry, he finds himself kicked out of the house along with his son, Joey, and together the two end up learning a lot about how to really talk to one another, as well as about themselves.

Larry Grossman (Caucasian, 40-55 years): An NYPD Hostage Negotiator who compartmentalizes and separates his professional and personal lives. At home, Larry isn’t shy, per se, but he’s restricted, reserved, and cautious. At work, Larry is deliberate, but impulsive. The common thread that binds these two personas is Larry’s goofy, clumsy, and endearing approach to communication. It’s what makes him a brilliant negotiator and an imperfect, but good-intentioned father.

Betty Grossman (Caucasian, 40-55 years): A hotheaded and spunky stay-at-home mom with pure Irish Catholic stamped all over her body. When it comes to her family, Betty will do whatever it takes to ensure happiness, but often at the expense of tranquility. When not fighting with her son, she can be talkative, bubbly, and vulgar, even gossipy. Betty Grossman reeks of Long Island, but she has an extremely engaging heart of gold.

Joey Grossman (Caucasian, early twenties): An attractive rebel, but not a cold-hearted person, Joey is the son of people who often out shadow him. Having a mother who breathes loud conversation and a father who is the epitome of success, Joey struggles to find himself. As a result, he often withdraws from family entirely. He’s bitter and embarrassed, but rarely angry.

Ari Cohen (Not looking for a specific race, 50-60 years): Ari is the show-runner for NYPD hostage situations. He is level-headed and precise when in work mode, but during brief downtimes, Ari can elevate moods with his one-liners and encouraging persona.

Harriet (No specific race, early twenties): An attractive girl with a bit of a sexual edge, Harriet has little restraint when she comes in contact with men.

Ty Davis (No specific race, early twenties): A man who we never see on screen, but still possesses a prominent role. Ty is a man bred from the streets of New York—particularly when it comes to his speech—who is unrelenting and livid. He has made up his decision to end his life. For him, negotiation is not an option.
